Grape Escape in the south of France

Domaine de Bouriette is a beautiful vineyard of 40 hectors (80 acres) just in the Malepere region to the south-west of Carcassonne. The Languedoc is one of the largest vineyard in the world its production of wine exceeding Bordeaux or Australia.

Our vineyard is in the heart of the cathar country, 10 minutes from the captivating medieval city of Carcassonne and 2 minutes from the Canal du Midi, play a round of golf or just drink delicious wine. Alternatively take some French leave and slip away to the lovely landscape of the Languedoc, visit the Cathar castles, it is just one hour to the Mediterranean Sea or one and a half hours to the Ski resorts in the mountains.

Domaine de la Bouriette offers tourists and travellers a secluded, relaxed setting for the weekend or weeks getaway. Our gites and chalets are a lovely alternative to hotels or campsites in the region. We have a supply of bicycles take a short ride to the canal du Midi table-tennis, a beautiful swimming pool and even a set of boules .

We love our vineyard, we love wine, we love the smell, the taste, the way it makes us feel. We love to share our passion with others and invite our guest to take advantage of a tour of the vineyard and a wine tasting session at the cave. There is plenty to do in the region, horse riding and canoeing, walking, cycling or just take in a large helping of culture while the children explore the labyrinths.

A unique opportunity to adopt your own personal row of vines in our beautiful vineyard in the south of France - watch them grow during the Spring and Summer months and bring your friends and family to see your vine and meet the team; help pick the grapes at harvest time (usually early August or September); see how they are pruned during the winter and finally drink the wine from your vine, or just stop at the vineyard to pick up your wine.
